הקבוצה מורכבת ממטפלים שבחרו להתמקצע בנישה החשובה של ליווי חולי סרטן
מטרת הקבוצה הינה להכשיר מטפלים מקצועיים למשימה; לאפשר שיתוף מידע קליני בין מטפלים, תחת פיקוח מנחים מקצועיים ומנוסים בתחום;
מתוך פעילות הקבוצה, החברים צוברים ידע מקצועי ממוקד, שליטה בניואנסים הייחודיים לליווי הסובלים ממחלת הסרטן וניסיון טיפולי ממוקד.
